Qatari-Lebanese Higher Joint Committee holds Meeting /Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Lebanon
The Qatari- Lebanese Higher Joint Committee held a meeting in Beirut yesterday, at the Government Palace (Grand Serail), chaired by H.E. Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri. During the meeting a number of agreements, executive programs, memoranda of understanding (MoUs), and draft agreements were signed.
The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the exchange of financial information and investigation of financial transactions suspected of their relationship to money laundering and terrorist financing between the Financial Information Unit, State of Qatar and the Special Investigation Commission of the Lebanese Republic, which was signed for the Qatari side by the head of the Finance Information Unit, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Eid Al Thani, and for the Lebanese side by Mohammad Baasiri.
